(i wrote an awfully long and boring blog that i hated, so i deleted it and am starting over)
i don't think i did thanksgiving justice this year.
thanksgiving is my favorite day of the entire year. regardless of the traditions which come along with it, like turkeys and preparing for "black friday," i view today to be a simple day filled with gratitude. i think my brain and heart are overwhelmed with thanks. i just wish i shared it better.
above anything, i am most thankful for my family and friends. that is a given, and will always remain that way.
besides this (now, i've thought long and hard about this and my conclusion is:) i think the one thing i am most grateful for this year is change. i bet you didn't think i would say that one.
i've always liked, or should i say loved, change in some ways. for example, i love to decorate and redecorate. i loved starting a new semester in school and changing classes. there are many ways and reasons for which i don't like change. if i don't feel in control of things, i get nervous.
but change gives you the change to start over. the chance to begin again. to be the person you want to become.
i have been given the chance to change. and i will forever be grateful.
