i had a great time last evening.
i'm still confused as to what i should be doing with this blog right now.
i understand that this my blog, andi have creative reign to make my own decisions about what goes into and stays out of my entries. i also am not the type of person to stop doing something just because others don't think i should. in fact, usually it makes me want to do it more. like smoking for example, when people used to try to get me to quit, i would smoke an extra, just to be a rebel. i'm so extreme.
anyway, because i don't really know what i'm doing right now, i decided to follow my own example from yesterday and re-post something i have written previoiusly. one post will be "rules" i had written to myself sometime in early 2007, i think. the other is a comic which used to make me laugh.
i've been thinking about rules alot since yesterday ;) how to make rules...why to make rules... reasons to follow rules...reasons to break rules, etc. i'll tell you, having a "guiding light" which dictates how people should act in a certain situation, or respond to stimuli can be a good thing, but when you are one of the people in charge of making the rules, its a very slippery slope. (okay, now lets just be honest. we all know i am the one to make alllllll the rules...i'm also probably the first one to break them! ha!) anyway, thats a whole conversation for another day. a conversation in which we probably will not discuss on my blog! sorry, i'm a tease! my problem is that i have one very, very good reason to follow the new "rules", and many very convincing reasons to break them... damnit! okay, back to the matter at hand. here are some of my old thoughts....
rules
1. don't jump off the roof if you don't expect to hit the ground...
2. love is like cigarettes. it gives you pleasure while you are at it, but sometimes leaves you with a bad taste in your mouth and pain in your chest...
3. throughout history, men have drooled over beautiful women. but there's no point of obsessing. there are plenty of misquided women who starve themselves to perfection, work out to exhaustion every day, and sit home alone every night- while at the supermarket you'll find lots of women who are fat, fiesty and married. you've really got to keep things in perpective...
4. move away. you will realize the distance you should keep with certain people depending on how far others are willing to travel...

and now, THIS, is exactly the kind of mother i am going to end up being! hahahahahah, no really. i hate to admit it, but its true:
