last week i asked y'all out in blog land to ask me whatever question you would like. i really should have posted the answers a lot sooner, but i'm a big old jerk and got a little too busy with my schoolwork. so now the truth is about to be shared. since i am currently working, and should probably be doing work related activities, this will probably take a series of blogs to get all the answers out there. if while reading this, you think of other things you want to ask me... feel free. i kind of really like this question and answer thing. i'm considering making it a semi-regular part of my blog. (well, that really depends on whether you guys actually want any more info on me, lol!) here goes nothing:
from erin: what are the five bands you wish more people would give a listen to and why?
- first would be rylo. this is a band local to norfolk, virginia. they also happen to be four of the best looking guys in the world, and my friends. they have a sound like no other and seeing them live is a MUST!
- umm, zox is an absolutely amazing band. they started in my area and have been doing an excellent job touring and making many CDs. in the past few years, some of their music has been used on MTV shows like the real world, etc. also seeing them in concert is like an out of body experience; its like nothing else!
- another one of my absolute favorites is virginia coalition, also known as vaco. i think in the past year or so, they lost a member. i've missed the past two concerts in my area, so i haven't seen them too recently. but their music is perfect. i usually love every song on every CD, and their shows are great to be at as well. i'm pretty pissed i've missed their past few shows in the area because i'm a major fan.
- next, i would say regina specktor. she has gotten slightly popular in the past year or so, but her music is different. its egdy, well written and soulful.
- finally, i would say to check out bobby doran. he's an old friend who is now preforming predominately on the west coast. he is soulful and serious and fun and just the total package! plus, he's a looker, so you west coast ladies just might want to check him out ;)

fyi my blog is http://freshestoat.blogspot.com
Also going to have to check out the bands. Been listening to some Regina Spektor for a while as my SIL introduced me to her CD. We have a playlist with her and a lot of crazy stuff like Stolen Babies, The Vincent Black Shadow, and Kate Nash - the classic being Caroline is a Victim - blah blah blah. Good times new music everyone is happy!
And I am so honored to be on your faves list!
