naked

i've been tagged by the wonderful tattooed dorothy! (sorry it took so long for me to actually do this, it has been a busy weekend!)

Here are the rules:
1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open to page 56.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the next 2 to 5 sentences, along with these rules.
5. Don't dig for your favorite book, the cool book, or the intellectual book. Pick the CLOSEST!
6. Tag five other people to do the same!

So here goes...I'm currently reading Naked by David Sedaris.

Sentence number 5: "Pimps and circus clowns have been dressing that way for years."

Continuing sentences: "We never understood how a man who took such pride in his sober tailored suits could spend his weekends in Day-Glo pants patterned in tree frogs or wee kilted Scotsmen. You needed sunglasses to open his closet door, what with all the candy colored sweaters, aggressive madras sports coats, and painfully bright polo shirts all screaming for attention. Highway workmen wore such shocking colors so that motorists could see them from a distance. "

doesn't that make you all want to go out and read some sedaris? it should!

here is who i tag:
christine
e.p.
nina
lis
emmie
l.l.

oops, that's six. can you tell i'm not good at math? haha.

Sounds like a VERY interesting book! I keep getting that author confused with Chuck Palahnick (totally butchered the spelling). We have a few of his books around here, all thanks to my husband who buys a book and then lets it collect dust. Hope you enjoy the rest of it!

That was one of the books that my book club was thinking of reading last year but another book got more votes.

Sounds like a good beach read.

Currently I am at work, and the closest thing to a book I have is the phone book. I will play when I get home.
