grace number thirty seven (i'm continuing because tattooed dorothy said it was okay ;) but y'all should still give me your input!)
today i am most grateful for the ability to ALWAYS be able to change and grow
i think a lot of us adults seem to think we are all "grown up." we think that there is nothing more to learn, or at least that we know most of what we will know for our lifetime. a lot of us will think our personality is unchanging. that we are who we are, and that is who we will stay.
i'm not sure who started that bullshit rumour, but folks...i hate to burst your bubble, but it is so untrue.
and you should be happy it is untrue.
if we keep it in our minds that we are ALWAYS able to grow and learn and change and evolve, then we will always challenge ourselves and take risks and live life to our potential. changing is not an easy task. sometimes it is a brutal one. but accepting change is one of the most amazing things you can do for yourselves.
i've had a year and a half CHOCK FULL of change. in fact. change has really been the only permanent thing in my life ;) when this all first started, i was terrified. i was depressed. i was anxious. i was obsessed. i was unwilling to accept it. now, i wonder who i would be if i did continue to fight the changes in my life. i'd probably still be miserable. i'm not trying to claim to be miss. my life is perfect, but i can claim that my life is at least a thousand times better right now than it was a year ago. i can claim that even though i was terrified last year, and SURE that change would RUIN my life, it did the opposite. change made my life much better.
