obrigada

(possible) grace number thirty six
today i am most grateful for the power of thought

i bet you didn't expect that one. my mother is probably the person who led me to have so many "new age" or "guru" beliefs. she believes in meditating and yoga, etc.

i believe in the power of thought. i was just going to type that i believe in the power of positive thinking, but i also believe in the power of negative thinking.

i think whatever you present to the universe, you will receive. so, if you wallow in misery, you're probably going to continue to do so because that is all you are projecting.

ALTHOUGH, if you say..."i'm having a tough time but i know things will get better. i am happy and grateful" then more than likely small things will come your way.

do i think this idea works exactly how you would like? i.e. you say 'universe, i want a new red sports car" NOOOOOO. but i think if you put your thoughts out there, and then back up your thoughts with actions, then your thoughts will show themselves.

i've been in a funk for most of the winter. not depressed at all actually. just a funk. my body has been feeling crappy and my mind is a little bored...but i have been consciously trying to be positive for the past two weeks, and i am seeing little rays of possibility peaking through those winter clouds. nothing may come from these possibilities, but... its still nice to have something to look forward to.

you see how this whole thinking thing is cyclical? now that i see rays, i think more positive... so i project more positive thoughts, then what was once a ray will become beams of light.

i don't think positive thinking is the be all and end all. i think thoughts are catalysts. your thoughts will not get you anywhere until your actions mirror your thoughts.

hope i wasn't too confusing.
thanks universe.

That is like "You reap what you sow" If you sow quack grass, you will reap quack grass. I think that every moment of every day, I am sowing something. I try to keep it in mind and make sure that I am planting good things in my life and in the lives of others and then I expect a good harvest. I have never figured out how to sow a red sports car. LOL
