grace number 62

today i am most grateful for my blog friends, and AWARDS!

chris at chris' coop was kind enough to give me an award last week! i really have just got around to posting it, but it was so kind, and so sweet! i'm so grateful to know such wonderful people, and to have them say the kindest things about me.

here is what she wrote:

Lucy gave me this award a long, long time ago.

This award is all about being Sassy as well as being a bold, honest, colorful, beautiful and compassionate person with a true heart for her fellow human beings with an upbeat attitude always showing her gratitude for life.

I am not sure that I deserve this award although it does not seem to rule out procrastinators or exaggerators although it does say that this person is supposed to be honest. Is there such a thing as an honest exaggerator? How about honest to goodness exaggeration? Becky, Is that an oxymoron?

I am going to pass this award on to Little Erin at erin uncensored. It fits her to a tee.
isn't that so sweet? i've decided to pass this award on to stephanie at lucky in love and life, because this also fits her to a T. she is caring, compassionate, honest and bold! she deserves a reminder that she is a magnificent person! and plus, she is a brand new mom and an EXCELLENT mother!!

YAHOO! I GOT MY VERY FIRST BLOGGING AWARD!

i feel so extra special. i can't even begin to say how honored i feel. this may sound silly to some of you professional bloggers out there, but i still consider myself a blogging baby, so this is momentous. its like i just walked my very first wobbly steps! so exciting!

Anyway, this award is titled Van Gogh's Ear Award. It was created by Roger at Idaho Photo. You can read all about the award and how it originated here.

I'll give you a quick paraphrased explanation: Van Gogh was a brilliant artist who is also known for his beautiful paintings, as well as for the fact that over time, his mental state went a little haywire and did some wild and crazy things. One of his more interesting moments was when he cut off the lower part of his left ear lobe, wrapped it in newspaper, and gave it to a local prostitute and asked her to "keep this object carefully." This award can be sent to any "artist" who peaks your interest, whether it be a writer, photographer, philosopher, blogger, comic, etc. Remember, although we all go a little crazy at times, if you feel the urge to cut off your earlobe and share it with a prostitute, "seek help!" I'm here for you blogging buddies!

I was granted this award by Emmie, and if i could give it right back to her I would! Because I can't, I think you all should show her some love for me by visiting her blog and checking her out!
Soooooo.... now the fun part! I get to pass this award out to people I like to read. I feel like its hard to pick out who should get this award, because its specific (i.e to an "artist") but at the same time not specific (i have a very varied idea of what i think an artist is!)
so i've just decided to give it to blogs which i am really interested in lately!

enjoy! and thank you again emmie!
