dear fenway,

i love you.
today you are four years old.
in two days, i will have been your mommy for two years and one month.
quite a bit has changed in our life, huh little lady?
we moved in with elizabeth, christopher and emmie the puppy in virginia.
then we moved back to mommy's home in massachusetts.
you had to learn what it was like to share mommy with her family dog, khiva.
and then, unexpectedly, we had to say goodbye to auntie khiva and uncle oliver the cat.
i miss khiva and oliver, and i can tell you do too.
but here we are- october 27, 2008.
it is your fourth birthday and tonight, we just celebrated with a special party just for you.
ally made you a special present.
after work i went to go get you some coffee puppy ice cream.
and then the party started.

so fenway, on your special day, i just wanted to let you know how happy i am to have you in my life and how very much i love you.
you make every day of my life just that much better.
