today i am most grateful for the kind random things that people do when you least expect it.

growing up my mother and father really instilled in me a deep love for helping others. we'd donate money to charities, walk in "walk-a-thons" to support causes, volunteer our time to those who needed it, or do something just as simple as play card games with the elderly lady across the street. (that was one of my favorites. she taught me how to play W-A-R)

anyway, i would like to think that i live my life constantly doing "little things" to make others days better. because i have always done this regularly, i kind of "forget" that i'm doing something nice, you know what i mean? when you put stuff into action, sometimes you forget how much it means to the person receiving your kindness. and most of the time, i don't expect kindness from others. i'm always SOOO grateful when someone does go out of their way an surprises me.

anyway, i need to hurry because the internet is going to be down for about an hour at work, and then i need to go home. i was just surprised by todd at http://www.toddgourley.blogspot.com/ with a header for my page. it is awesome! amazing! i love it! i wish i could post it now, but literally, my Internet is about to kick the bucket at work! i will try and change my layout tonight, but i doubt i will have time, so you will probably not see the changes until tomorrow.
