grace in small things: the 64th entry
1. danny gokey- who really should have been the winner of this season's american idol. i have such a little crush on him. he has such a beautifully tragic story, and his voice is amazing. i never thought i would want to go see someone who was once on AI in concert...but i might go see danny one day if he ever tours near here.
2. being pumped about my writing future. well, the artichoke festival will take place this summer, and then pretty much as soon as it is over, i will begin applying to MFA programs. (so it seems as if i am going to be doing a lot of writing this summer. do any of y'all know any writing classes/groups/lessons in the MA/RI area? i think i need a writing/reading group to stay on task.)
3. now i can finally clean my apartment. i'm living in a hot mess. ha. i have so many "projects" which i have begun over the semester, but yet to finish. i have about 8 loads of laundry to finish! and just a major spring cleaning to do. i mean, for the most part my apartment isn't messy. it just needs a clean sweep and an organizing. i want to donate a lot of stuff that i am not using too. my goal is to get my apt. SUPER CLEAN before i go on my cruise, so that when i come home, it will be such a nice place to return to!
4. having some more free time. now i will be able to really do the right thing and get fenway into a training class. she is a good dog, but like i said, she needs socialization and some more training. AND I NEED TRAINING!!! i am sometimes the biggest problem! i don't follow through with commands, etc. so i cannot complain about her if i can't put in just as much effort as she does.
does anyone know of any good (and affordable) dog trainers in the MA/RI area?
5. my nephew's new haircut. he almost has a bald head. it is cute, but makes him look WAY too old! he looks like a four year old, but he is only one. i have learned that i really am dreading him growing up. i want him to stay a little baby forever and ever. i love that he loves to hug and kiss. i want to kiss him forever. i'm not ready for the day he decides to grow up and become "too big" to kiss his auntie. i don't care. i'll tackle that boy and kiss him right in front of his friends. ha.
