grace in small things number twenty eight:
today i am most thankful for having a good looking, reliable vehicle
growing up, i traveled in some pretty interesting cars. my mom had what we called the banana boat: a pale yellow station wagon. my dad 's vehicles permeated with the stench of cigarettes from when he was a smoker. my first car was actually bought by my grandmother before i was actually born! it was an interesting and scary drive! then i drove in a 90 mercury topaz that could be considered a possible suicide mission every time i drove it. i'm surprised it never killed me! then i had my sentra which was good compared to the others but i still needed to do a lot with it. i bought it totalled, my brother rebuilt it and in the end, it got totalled!
tomorrow is actually one year since my sentra was totalled. time does fly.
anyway. now i have jude. he's a five year old black saturn vue awd.
we rock out harder than teenagers playing dance, dance revolution.
there is no one, but jude, for me.
he has had a broken side mirror and door piece for a few months now. someone side swiped my parked car. anyway, my brother finally found parts to use at cost for me, and put them on yesterday. AND i cleaned all the little pieces of trash out of the car. which pretty much consisted of dunken donuts straw wrappers. lol. now all i need to do is get him an oil change, and give him a shower. then jude will be as sexy as a playmate.
